Hi

Where is your library stored? If on an external drive, what is the format?

If on the internal drive, try a library repair (hold down CMD and OPT while starting photos) - note the repair can take a long time, hours or even a day or two for a large library.

I did just try to open a new library [create a new one] - the dialog box came up listing libraries and I selected Create NEW == and now Photos is trapped == I can't quit it [a box comes up that says you can't quit Photos while it is creating or opening a library] - and it's not doing anything -- Photos is on my main machine [iMac] as was the one I was trying to open == it's 116G
