Photos app crashing on startup

Dear all,

Recently when I'm trying to start the Photos app on my iMac (OSX Mojave 10.14.6) it crashes at startup.

I can see a window opening up, but it immediately closes again.

I tried to start it when pressing CMD + Option, but this also doesn't seem to help.

It also seem to be a system wide problem, as on another account on the same device the problem also occurs.

I checked the console when trying to start the app and added the message attached to this post.

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?

Regard,

Michael

I was able to solve the issue by holding only the option key at startup. Then i got the window where you can choose your library.

I created a new library and started up from this one. Then the Photos app did open and didn't crash anymore.

As all my pictures are on iCloud, I just switchd on iCloud again in this library and everything seems to be back in order.
