Why is my mac model telling me its 2018 everywhere online while the software in about mac is telling me 2019? 🧐🧐☹️☹️ by the way its A1989 on the box and behind the machine. but the about mac tells me its macbook pro 2019 four thunderbolt 3 ports. gooling A1989 shows macbook pro mid 2018

There may be a discrepancy between 'A1989' numbers.

'Correct identifiers' are necessary to tell you what it is.

..And some of these vague numbers are reused..

What display size and processors does your Mac have?

Some 'numbers' are vague and are not exactingly precise.

(Do not post your product serial numbers online; you

may inadvertently compromise your product that way.)

Other numbers such as build model number; subtle product

differences, hardware upgrades, or later processor builds, etc.
