Why is my mac model telling me its 2018 everywhere online while the software in about mac is telling me 2019? 🧐🧐☹️☹️ by the way its A1989 on the box and behind the machine. but the about mac tells me its macbook pro 2019 four thunderbolt 3 ports. gooling A1989 shows macbook pro mid 2018

The 'same hardware' has different processors in them, which makes them different hardware. You should consider switching to Windows machines, where that sort of thing never, ever happens.
There may be a discrepancy between 'A1989' numbers.
'Correct identifiers' are necessary to tell you what it is.

I have learn that apple actually repeats or reuse model numbers for several machines, nevertheless the part numbers are the only exception. And Im not surprised because we all know apple repeatedly keep selling the same hardware to its customers
