Cannot Remove Microsoft Remote Desktop to reinstall

This is very frustrating. I am disappointed that there is not an APP in the store to remove Microsoft apps or other apps - especially considering many work from home and are required to use these apps. I can no longer VPN into work because it stopped working. I wanted to uninstall and reload, and am not able to do so because moving it to trash does not get rid of all the files. Downloading free uninstalls is not removing it either (checked on other posts).

Is Apple intending to fix this gap in it's apps?
