BackupFile too slow

I am experiencing too much time for an external Backup. ( It takes 3 to 4 hours for copying, eg : 1.62 GB of 24 )

It used to be faster

Any special reason?

Please help.

Thank you

Frank

Wi-Fi is the bottleneck in almost every case.

If you connect both your backup drive and your computer to Ethernet, your backup will complete very quickly, still using your network. If you can attain Gigabit Ethernet speeds, you will get "near Hard drive" performance.

Ethernet Speeds above 100 Mbits/sec requires all intervening equipment to support Gigabit speed AND your cables MUST have all 8 conductors present.
