Brother printer/scanner MFC-J480DW and iPrint&scan for iOS

For anyone with a Brother printer/scanner MFC-J480DW, it has been terminated from the list of usable printers/scanners on Brother’s iPrint&scan for iOS devices! NOT a happy Brother customer right now after purchasing this printer only within the last year.

If anyone has a solution for how to successfully reconnect it to my WLAN and all our wireless devices, please let me know. (But please don’t suggest JustAnswer as I already tried that scam.)

I'm not sure which list you are using from Brother but they have had multiple lists on their site at the same time in the past and at one time had lists showing my printer/scanner was not compatible with iPrint and Scan when it in fact was.


If you haven't already tried, the following shows that you can download both the app and the push scan tool for your printer. https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcj480dw_us_eu_as&os=10060


That was enough to enable me to scan wirelessly (wasn't needed for printing wirelessly) with my printer.
