SafariQuickLookPreview cannot be opened because of a problem

Just tried doing a search on my mac mini late 20212 macOS 10.14.6 Mojave and got the following:

Image below.

Note :Safari works find. I'm no longer able to do a search on my mac mini. Open for suggestions.

Wow! Just launching and force quitting Safari did the trick.

Still a bit confusing because I don't even have Safari open. I'm

using my Mohave desktop 'search spyglass' icon in the top-right menu bar.

Anyhow, I don't understand it. But the problem is solved and that's all that matters. YES!

Thank you. I will remember this the next time I have this same problem.

From reading your post, it appears SafariQuickLookPreview cannot be opened, correct? We're here to help you take a look in to that!


First, let's force quit the Safari app and test if the issue is resolved:


How to force an app to quit on your Mac


Then head to Safari menu bar > Preferences > Extensions and turn off the extensions. If working normal, test one by one on which extensions could be causing the issue.
