Leave Family Sharing

I need another option I would really appreciate if somebody can help me out with my problem. I’m trying to leave family sharing but I have no option to leave. My account is listed as a teen account, if I were to change it to an adult account, would the organizer stop tampering with the settings? Because I guess it would also be better not to leave, just take over control of my account. It’s messing with my device.
