Will EMU 0404 work with Macbook Pro 2020?

I have a Creative EMU 0404 external sound card (connects via USB) which worked happily with my (very) old MacBook Pro.

I have just bought a brand new MacBook Pro 13 2020 and when I try to install the latest (2011!) device driver from Creative I get an error message saying the software is not compatible with the OS and have to quit the install.

I realise the EMU 0404 is very old but it always worked well. Does anyone know if/how I could get this to work?

It's unlikely to work right out of the box. The 0404 is no longer supported and they no longer release new drivers for it. macOS Catalina requires new drivers. And also note the 0404 has always had quite buggy drivers even when it was new.

says

'End of Service Life'. and the latest driver is for lion

but some of creatives newer ones works, I use the X7 which is also usb
