Removing suggested email addresses

Occasionally when I'm signing up to a site on my iPhone, the same (incorrect) email addresses appear as suggestions above the keyboard. It's been happening for years over multiple iPhones. I'm currently using Gboard but have also used the standard iOS keyboard with the same issue.

I've had no contact with the person for over 5 years and would rather not have their email address popping up. I've searched everywhere and can't find them as a contact or file so why are they still showing up ?!

What I have experienced is when you keep using the iPhone regularly the contacts with whom you interact recently and regularly will only appear here.

If you do not interact with a contact then it will disappear automatically.

However you may....

To turn off Siri Suggestions, go to Settings > Siri & Search, then turn off any of the following:

Suggestions in Search

Suggestions in Lookup

Suggestions on Lock Screen

For a specific app, tap the app, then turn off Show Siri Suggestions.
