Camera keeps focusing

When I want to take a photo in the iMessage app, the camera keeps focusing and it’s not possible to take a picture.

so far this has only happened in the iMessage app, and I find it rather annoying having to go out of iMessages to open the cam app then back in iMessages opening the photo app choose photo.

You can change the camera focus and exposure to a specific area. Before you take the photo, tap the place on the screen that you want to adjust. If you want to keep the focus and exposure in the same spot, press and hold on the screen until you see AE/AF Lock.
