are photos I edit in "projects" in Photos saved in the edited form somewhere?

I edited many photos in a "project" in Photos that I used for a print photo album. Are those edited forms of those pictures in that project stored somewhere individually on my mac? I want to use the pics I edited in "projects" (in Photos app) electronically elsewhere.

Photos edited in a Project will be represented every where the photo exists elsewhere in the library, albums, smart albums, Photos view, etc. The edits are saved in the library's database and applied to the preview version seen in the various views of the library. To get the edited version for use outside of the library export it using the File ➙ Export ➙ 1 Photo…:

I did some experimenting and with Photos 5 in Catalina and got some conflicting results. Edits made in slideshow projects do not get included in the slideshow but are elsewhere. Edits made in books and cards by the 3rd party providers are represented throughout the library. Had to close the reopen the library to get the edits to show up in the slideshow itself.
