I created a new note but I have nothing on my screen that's the camera icon. Is there another way to scan a document with my phone?

Thanks for the screenshot! That is strange.
On the home screen, can you long press on the Notes app so it brings up the shortcut menu, and then select Scan Document?

Yes, that's what I'm reading but it says to tap the camera icon. I don't have a camera icon that shows up.
