Mac OS X Lion is still available on Apples Online Store (not the App Store) it is $20-00

and you will be e-mailed with a redeem code that you use in the lower pages of the App Store

(not the Apple Online Store), although people have been having trouble with this.

OS X Lion (10.7) - Apple (UK) This link is for the UK Store,

if you do a search for Mac OS X Lion Apple Online Store

then you should get results for your country.

I am third owner to this Macbook and I did a hard disk erase on it when I purchased unaware that I had to have the original owners apple id to reinstall the program that came with it. Also, because of its age it does not offer the internet recovery mode. Therefore, I was told that I had to purchase the mac os x lion 10.7 from the apple store. But, I cannot buy it from the Mac itself for obvious reasons so I have to purchase it from my HP. During the recovery process of reinstalling the mac os x lion 10.7 in disk utility it asks for verification and will not install under my apple id because I dont have that program on my purchase history, I assume? But if I purchase it under my apple id I have to do it from my HP. Will I be able to reinstall it without complications or is there any other necessary steps I need to take to reinstall it on the Mac after the purchase?
