I like having finder's recent documents but

Hi,

I just moved to a new MacBook Pro and did the migration myself. So ALL of my files are showing as recent because they are. I really like the recent files in the finder side bar but I want to clear what the OS sees as recent without deleting the files. How do I refresh the list? See attached screenshot.

Thank you!

That's not possible.

Recents is a search folder with the primary criteria looking for a Last Used Date set in the metadata.

You could create your own search folder using a different set of criteria to only show you the files you want.
