Mac mini dual display connections

My 2020 Mac mini is connected to two Apple Cinema Displays. One works perfectly connected with a Benfei VGA to USB-C port, the other is an Apple VGA to HDMI adapter which is producing image persistence. I have tried a Benfei VGA to HDMI adapter with the same results. Rather than connecting to the HDMI port, can I connect both monitors to the Thunderbolt ports (1 and 2 buses) using another Benfei adapter? Thank you.

Yes, one to Bus 0 and one to Bus 1, see > Connect multiple displays to your Mac mini (2018) - Apple Support
