Why is it that sometimes I have to hit a comand/deleat to remove a photo from one of my albums. Thought that all of the originals stayed in the default library.

What albums are you talking about?

If it is an album that you created, delete should be sufficient.

If it is a *smart* album you created you cannot delete an image from it since it includes all the images that meet the criteria. The only way to delete an image from a smart album is to delete it from the library, requiring the command-delete.

If it is one of the System "albums" or "views", like Imports, you can only delete images from them by deleting them from the library, requiring command-delete.
