Google Icon for Taskbar

I hate my new MacBook Pro!! Why can't I get a Google Chrome icon and a Gmail icon to add to my taskbar?! Why can't I delete useless apps from my Finder?!

Despite your grim attitude:

Open the applications folder, click and drag whatever you want into the "taskbar" and release.

Can't find common apps in the app store for my Macbook First, I'm a new Macbook user so I'm still learning my way around. But when I try to find common apps for my Macbook for example, Google, GMail, an app for the Daily Mail news, YouTube, etc., they don't show up. I find numerous "third-party" apps that are associated with the but the "original" app is nowhere to be found. Am I doing something wrong in my search or do I have a feature turned off that I need. MacBookAir 2022 M2 How do I view all of my open apps arranged on my screen? My old MacBookAir had an icon at the bottom that popped up all of my open apps so I could easily see what I had open. My new MacBookAir doesn't have this icon. The guy at the Apple Store had to go ask someone and there is a workaround--command or function key and something else.

Finder Preferences Okay brains trust. Why, oh why can I no longer add Applications to the Finder sidebar? I have it selected as you can see in the photograph. I'm on a Mac and everything is updated and re-booted.
