Since it was never offered on a USB, it is most likely an illegal version and may or may not work. As well since you need a full installer, not an update. it may contain some unwanted additional components such as malware. I would not take a chance unless it is an official DVD from Apple. Those are almost impossible to find and ridiculously expensive, so I would pass. You can set that amount aside to add to your savings for a newer computer, especially since you won't find a browser or too many websites that will work with such an outdated OS version.

Well, you are not going to get recommendations here for illegal downloads. It will be extremely difficult to find a legit copy of an 11 year old OS. I have no recommendations except for above posted link for Amazon.

me too! I want to update too. I downloaded the file from somewhere but can't install from usb :-( i don't have dvd to burn.

There are plenty of Snow Leopard install USB'S out there, you can pick one depending on what version you want.
