Apps in App Store won't update (MacBook Pro)

Hi I just purchased the Macbook pro 13 inch and it shoes that the following apps in the app store need to be updated: Keynote, Pages and Numbers; however, when I select update, they never get updated. I am using MacOS Catalina version 10.15.6 (up to date).

Updates didn't complete. How do I get app updates to complete? On March 31st, I got an update notice from the App Store to update Pages. Numbers and Keynote, all versions 10.0. on my IMac with OS version Catalina 10.15.4. The Numbers update completed downloading and gave an Open icon. The Pages and Keynote updates didn't complete, can't get them to complete, don't know how to get them to complete.

cannot update app Hi, I just got a new 16" macbook pro. When I go to the App Store, it says I have three updates. When I try to update, I keep getting the message "cannot update app". I deleted the three apps I couldn't update. Now, I can't download them, and the App Store still says there's three Apps to update. What can I do about it? (P.S.) The three apps in question are Keynote, Numbers, and Pages.

Numbers update in App store but I am not able to update the app Hello, I am running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4. For 3 days I am being notified in App store that there is update for Numbers, Pages and Keynote app but even when I click on "Update" it does not install (just a cursor changes to running circle - see attached printscreen). Can somebody helps me with it pls? Thank you

try - If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or other Apple device – Apple Support

Thanks for your response James. No I don't get any error..The cursor just goes to a spinning circle and it stays so and never actually gets updated.
