I have an Apple iPad not an Apple phone. I just tried using iMessage and every name I looked up a name it tells me it is not registered probably because those people don’t use Apple products. So my question is how can I send messages through my Apple iPad to other people on their computers, not on their phones.

You have a problem.
iMessage works only to and from other people’s Apple products.
OK thank you. I knew I should’ve stayed with my Samsung.
Or convert the other folks to Apple.
