Fraudulent log in attempt

Hi there... I got a notification as I was working that someone was attempting to log into my iCloud account. A screen popped up with a map requesting approval, then disappeared quickly. Before I could click cancel, it happened again in another location, then disappeared quickly. I think both locations were in Russia, but I am not certain. I immediately changed my iCloud passcode. Any idea what happened and anything else I should do? I am concerned.

Your Apple ID username and password has likely been leaked. This is common if you use the same password on other apps, so scammers have chanced using your Apple ID.

You should change your password on every app which uses the same email and password combination, please try to use different passwords on different websites.

Also, well done on enabling two-step verification this means the scammer couldn't get any further.
