extension cable for older macbook air

Hey, the plug of the charger for my macbook Air is a bit damaged. I do need an extension for it anyway, but the one i found in the store does not list my mba. (mid 2012, A1466)

Question is: is it safe to buy and use that one anyway, or should i buy an older extension cable from somewhere else?

Compatibility of the changer extension cord MBP 2015-2020 I have just upgraded from a MacBook pro mid 2015 to the 2020 version. my question is in regards to the compatibility of the changer extension cord that is included with the 2015 edition. is the extension piece compatible with the 2020 MacBook pro charger and MacBook itself. will it affect the battery or mac in a negative way if I use the extension piece from the mag safe charger on the new 2020 USB-C charger? if it is unclear I am referring to the extension cable. I do not like using the included wall piece that is included with the 2020 edition as the charger block has some weight to it and the block seems to slowly fall out of the wall socket when attached. uneven weight distribution. thank you, [Edited by Moderator]

Macbook Air Charger - 30W USB-C + Extension 16A 250V~ Hi Apple Community, I just purchased a new Macbook Air with 30W USB-C charger. I would like to know if an older Mac extension cable (16A 250V~) can be used to simply lengthen the overall cable? Would there be any issue with compatibility? Thank you in advance.

This cable will work. They just don't list compatibility that far back. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK122LL/A/power-adapter-extension-cable
