USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter not charging iPhone

I recently purchased the new MacBook along with the airpod pros and the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. When trying to connect my iPad pro to my computer to charge using the adapter, it wouldn't charge my iPad. However, I plugged my computer charger into the adapter and it charged my computer successfully. Today, I opened my airpod pro charger to charge my phone from my MacBook. It's now doing the same thing and won't charge my phone, only my computer through the adapter. I'm not sure why this is happening. Please help!

The USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter should charge your MacBook and your iPad Pro. You'll want to make sure that your iPad Pro is connected to the USB-C port of the adapter to charge.

About the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

The adapter can't be used to charge other devices besides the two previously mentioned.

If the iPad Pro has issues charging with the adapter, unlit all items fro the adapter, then plug all cables back in before lugging the adapter into your iPad Pro.
