My photo won't open. It just shows an exclamation mark. When looking into my photo the "g" has been dropped from "jpg". What happened and how do I fix it? ie, IMG_20160314_125230465_HDR~2.jp
Just type the 'g' back in. Highlight the file, then press Command-i the info panel will open.
In the Name & Extensions section just add the g. Press Return then another dialogue will
ask you if you want to keep .jpg, press the button.

If it’s affecting multiple photos, you can repair the Photos Library. Quit Photos/iPhoto, re open while holding Option and Command, then select the option to Repair.
