Backplate cracked even with an original apple case

This is more of a reminder and warning than a question.

I have a iPhone XR in blue, a little over one year old, its my precious friend (even with a name). It is/was in a flawless state, with a case used day one. It never got dropped onto a hard ground. The cases I used were always resistant. Then a month back I bought an original Apple Case, because I wanted to have extra protection and safety and payed a price at least 3 times higher than all other cases.

I was pretty happy until I dropped it from hip hight on a wooden floor. It cracked. The backplate just got smashed. I was always caring and very cautious but then It cracked in this ridiculous situation. Really Apple. I pay a huge amount of money for a case to protect, the "toughest glass ever built into a smartphone" and it just cracks ?

So guys and girls keep in mind that your iPhone can still break with ease even-though you use a supposedly protection.

I just wanted to let other people know that this might happen, and because I haven't seen anybody else talking about this problem
