Migrating from a 13" 2017 MacBook Air to a 13" new MacBook Pro
What kind of connector do I need to attach my 2017 MacBook Air to my new MacBook Pro to use Migration Assistant? Thanks.

Wi-fi might be the easiest option. See the following from How to move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support
- If both computers are using macOS Sierra or later, just make sure that they're near each other and have Wi-Fi turned on. If either is using OS X El Capitan or earlier, connect them to the same network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
If not that, click on the link in the following for information about cables/adapters:
- Or connect them using target disk mode and the appropriate cable or adapter. Then start up your old computer in target disk mode.
