Using external monitor with 2017 MacBook Pro 13" and it's battery implications.

Hello, I recently bought an external monitor for my 2017 MacBook Pro 13". I bought the Dell 24 P2419HC Monitor, it connects to my MacBook Pro via USB-C. It works perfectly! My only concern is that I noticed that it is simultaneously charging my MacBook Pro. Is it bad that my MacBook Pro is always at 100%, does that damage my MacBook battery?

Thank you! That makes sense, when I click the battery icon on my MBP, it says Power Source: Power Adapter. I guess that means my battery isn't being used, its using electricity from the outlet. I was just concerned my MBP would be damaged. Thanks again!
