RAM Upgrade - 10600 and 10600S

Hello guys,

I'm having an iMac mid 2011 that I would like to upgrade the RAM for. Reading the specs, it says I would need DDR3 PC3-10600. I was able to find only DDR3 PC3-10600S, which from what I had read stands for SO-DIMM. Is it the same thing, can I use the 10600S to upgrade this device?

The memories are produced by Samsung, is it a must for them to state 'MAC Memory'?

Mac machines are very sensitive with types of memory modules.

Therefore, buy "Mac certified" memory modules -- is quite important for getting memory for Macs..

Furthermore, users here have pretty good experience with OWC and Crucial memory modules, not only for the reliability/compatibility but also "warranty" if issues may arise.
