Activation lock

So before my Bestfriend died he reset his iPhone and gave it to me now it has a activation lock.

Can someone please help me?

Sorry to hear that about your friend. Activation Lock cannot be removed. You will need the Apple ID password associated from the account. Try asking the estate if they have the password.
