How to respond to an earlier/older text message within a text thread on my iPhone? (iPhone 8 Plus)

Does this function/option exist?

I know iPhone has the following options/capabilities for text messaging-

• Post reaction(s), emojis, videos, and other animated images.

• Screenshots, scanned images & documents, and website links

• Edit text, cut, copy, paste, forward, and delete.
