There are books written for "Switchers", but I do not remember any for recent versions of macOS. However, even a book for an older macOS version will be useful.
There are podcasts out there, so are more towards beginner users. I am partial to the MacObserver.com "Mac Geek Gab". Yes, sometimes they get deep into the geeky weeds, but they very often have something useful each episode. Some other podcast may be good for you as well.
As mentioned, you can actually ask explicit question in the forums, and someone will try to answer.
Try not to group a lot of question into a single post, as often times 1 question out of many gets all the attention, and they the thread takes a tangent.
If you only put a few related question in a post, the changes are they will get answered. If some do not, you can always just start a new post.
Remember, we do not know the real you, so you do not have to feel bad about asking for help. You never know, you might become so good, you start answering other user question with what you've learned.
While "Right Now" may not be the best time, Apple Stores often have classes you can sign-up for. Right now, with Corvid-19, it may not be something you want to do.
