My MacBook Pro ran out of battery. I connected it to power but it is not turning back on. Could the battery be dead?

That is possible, however before you take it in to a Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, try this it it worked for me. How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
