3rd party deleted messages retrieval or retrieval from backup

HI,

I deleted some messages that I want to retrieve.

I know I can restore from an earlier I cloud back up.

Common sense question - but, what if the messages were created and deleted after the last backup?

Do I then need to use a third party restore message app? If so any recommendations? If so do they actually work?
