iPad Pro 10.5 display blank with backlight still working?

I have a 1.5 year old iPad pro 10.5 bought new that is now randomly having display issues. After minimal use over that time the screen went out a few days ago but the back-light still was on with a blank black screen. The weird thing the display will start working again with no issues with touch or display quality. I was able to get the screen working to restore and update through iTunes with no luck on a permanent fix. The next day i tried force restarting randomly and the display came back like nothing was wrong. Then a few hours later it went out again. Now if I leave the iPad for a minute and try turning it on I'll see an image for a second before it either goes back out or flickers for a half second before going blank.


Any ideas? The iPad hasn't been dropped and no liquid has gotten into the device as far as i know. It lives on my night stand and I"m the only user. It's just weird how the display will work perfectly before randomly go out especially since I hadn't really used the iPad in a few weeks.
