Apple pencil (Gen 2) gap
So anybody knows why the Apple Pencil has a gap between the tip and the body? Is it intentional? Design flaw?

Yes perhaps. To a person with OCD 🤣🤣
Apple is known for meticulously refining its designs.
Cars are meticulously refined and detailed, but, yet, still need body panel and door gaps!
Same deal when manufacturing anything with mating or adjacent parts.
There are variances and tolerances designed and engineered into EVERYTHING!
Nothing is made perfect for we humans are NOT perfect!
Some gaps are just needed/necessary.
I am sure Apple design and engineering knew what they were doing when they designed the Pencil.
That tip unscrews.
It might be as far as the tip can be screwed in.
Make sure the tip is screwed down securely, but not real tight.
There IS a gap between the pencil tip and the body of the pencil. If your pencil is writing as it should, there is no cause for concern. Both my Apple Pencils have the same tiny gap.
Yes. I screwed it in well without forcing it too much.
The gap exixts in Gen 2 models.. Thats as far as it goes..
Its made that way.. I checked more than 5 different source.
Not sure why though??

Does it matter?
As long as it works.
