MacBook Pro won’t turn on after update

My 15 inch MacBook Pro won’t turn on after an update. It was working perfectly well before the update. I left it plugged in when it was updating and came back to a laptop that won’t turn on.

There are no signs of power... it does not make a chime when plugged in... the trackpad does not give me any feedback...

I tried pressing the power button for 10 seconds then releasing it and I tried resetting the SMC as customer support recommended, but it still does not work...

any ideas on what to do or what it could be?
