How to stop someone from sharing their location?

I blocked my ex but he is still able to share his location with me. Even if I remove him on the “Find My” app using the red trash bin he just shares his location over and over again. I know I can turn off notifications but I’d still like to receive them from other people whose location I’m sharing. Is there a way to permanently block him from sharing his location?
