IMDPersistenceAgent High CPU usage

Noticed this recently and havent found any recent solutions. 2019 16" MBP. 10.15.5. Quite curious. Thanks!


ps....potentially related to Mail?

Hi there Rippeddisc, 



We see you're needing some help with IMDPersistenceAgent showing a high CPU amount being used. 


This process is related normally to Messages that are being synced or using your Address book to index. 


If you quit the process from within the Activity Monitor, it may restart, but does it still use the same amount of CPU usage? We'd like you to try that with the following steps: Quit an app or process in the Activity Monitor on Mac


If your Mac runs Slowly also has some great tips you can try for these types of issues.
