iMac OS Mojave vs Catalina

If I purchase a new iMac can I buy it with or change the OS to Mojave?

Most of my apilcations are not 64bit and will NOT run on Catalina.

No, you can not choose the macOS that comes on your iMac.

If you buy a mac that comes preinstalled with Catalina then you will not be able to downgrade to an earlier OS like Mojave.

Thank you for you response. Bummer, unfortunately many of my applications are not 64 bit which means I will lose data and/or spend $$$ purchasing new apps.
