A number of apps all of a sudden need reinstalling. What could be the cause and how do I reinstall all the apps? Symbol shown on the app icons looks like a cloud.
It means that you haven't used these apps in a while and iPhone offloaded them. If you don't want this to happen, head to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and disable "Offload Unused Apps" toggle.

Thank you for the feedback. I have made the change to the settings. One surprising thing is that even those apps that I have been using as recent as yesterday were uninstalled. Does it mean that this function doesn’t recognize which apps are being used? Thank you.
