Barring iPhone

Hi, I hope the Apple community are doing well..

I wanted some advice... I bought an Apple iPhone from an Apple shop in London, and took out bank finance to pay for it every month... I gave the phone as a gift, which has now been lost. How do I go about barring the phone?
