Migrating a Parallels VM and Windows running in that VM

I have a new iMac machine and need to migrate everything from my present MacBook Pro to it.

Migration Assistant will assist in that process. I use a Parallels Virtual Machine with a Windows OS and two major Windows applications (Quicken and a stock market application). Will Migration Assistant also migrate the Parallels VM, Windows OS and the applications?

If not, are there any references or instructions available for doing so? Where and what are they?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

All data and apps ill be migrated if selected. In terms

of any applications, including Parallels, you may need to

somehow transfer the license to the new machine, if possible.

You need to check with all your app vendors to verify what

will be needed to be done as each will be undoubtably different

and some may not even let you transfer and force you to pay

for a new license.

All apps purchased in the Mac App Store will automatically

be authorized for use on the new computer.

In terms of the VMs, you may be prompted when starting one whether

the VM was moved or copied. Select move. If you select copied,

it will reassign all underlying machine characteristics with the need

of reactivation of Windows as well as any hardware based licensed

apps.
