Beeping after installing ram in iMac desktop late 2009
Rudegar, Thanks for your reply, but I finally worked out I wasn't pushing in the modules hard enough into the slots. I was afraid of breaking something. Thanks again

macs are pretty picky when it comes to memory modules
I got mine from Crucial there one can type in ones computer model and they only list modules they tested with the machine
when I updated mine I discovered I had to apply more power then I expected
and finally memory modules are pretty sensitive when it comes to statics so if one is charged one can kill the module with the static discharge
