multiple peripherals and monitor.

Hi.

I was looking at purchasing the MacBook Air but am concerned about it only having 2 Thunderbolt ports.

I would need to connect a separate keyboard and mouse both with standard usb connections and an external monitor that has a HDMI connection and possibly charge the mackbook all at the same time. Is there an adaptor or multi port plug in that can be used to remedy this?

thanks in advance.

There are multiple hubs/docks available for Thunderbolt 3. If you want a single plug solution, you'll want to look for a dock (generally, a dock provides power whereas a hub does not). I recommend Elgato, OWC or Belkin, and I'd avoid CalDigit. Hubs are significantly cheaper, and if you're ok connecting two plugs (power and the hub) that would work, too.

If you're buying a new monitor, there are ones available that connect to your Mac with USB-C and provide power, and also have USB-A ports for connecting other peripherals.
