remove legacy extension

I installed Malwarebytes a few years back. I would like to remove the remaining bits of it the Legacy extension. How do I do that?

Contact its developer.

Excerpted from About legacy system extensions - Apple Support:

"Legacy system extensions and the apps that rely on them continue to work today. But now is a good time to contact the developer to learn whether an updated version of their software is available or planned. The developer can also explain how to remove or disable the extension, and the consequences of doing so."

Two Major Steps: - Backup then Update

1. Back up your Mac:

Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the uninstall.

2. Uninstall: Use the Malwarebytes for Mac Uninstaller

First, do not go about messing with removing extensions unless you are proficient at so doing. Second, if you did remove it, Malwarebytes would no longer work and it is a very good app to have and use as needed. Third, Malwarebytes has said they will soon have a new app which resolves the problem, so when it is available, just download it. In the meantime, it causes no problems, so it's nothing to worry about.
