I just purchased a new iphone se 2020 from Apple. My service is Verizon. I tried to transfer service to Xfinity mobile, and was told my new iphone se was incompatible with Xfinity mobile. Xfinity also offers the same phone for sale to use on Xfinity mobile. What gives?
I have had Xfinity as my carrier the last 2 or 3 years. They are great and they are unbelievably cheap. So cheap I keep trying to figure out what the catch is!
If you purchased the phone directly from Apple within the last 14 days you may want to consider returning it and buying one directly from Xfiinity. See: Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple
The Xfinity website compatibility check says it is incompatible, and then I talked with an Xfinity rep who also verified that it is incomp. He talked to a tech rep while I was on the phone, and said that "some iphone se's are incompatible, and nobody knows why. I have given up. I wanted to change carriers since Xfinity has a great rate for existing internet subscribers only. Xfinity is on the Verizon network.

Sorry, I don't know of any other reason why the phone would not work with Xfinity.

Xfinity uses the Verizon network and if not locked to Verizon the phone should work with Xfinity. Also see: https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/byod
This iphone se was purchased from Apple without a sim card. I installed my old sim card (from iphone se 1st gen) in the new phone. I cannot make contact with Verizon, but website services say this phone is unlocked.
