How do I contact carrier 50.0.1?

That “50.0.1” is the carrier settings version number. Your actual carrier name should be listed next to NETWORK. In the end, a carrier is the company that provides the cellular/mobile service to your iPhone. You pay your service bills to your carrier. Either look on the bill or on your carrier’s website to learn how to contact them.

50.0.1 is not a real carrier; it is a placeholder when there is no carrier and is used to engineering testing.

50.0.1 can also be a modem version or carrier update version rather than a carrier, so where are you seeing it?

You will have to ask whoever sold you the phone. If you go to Settings/General/About what does it say for Carrier Lock?

Go to Settings/General/About. Look under SIM or eSIM. If there is no network under either one then your phone is not registered with a carrier.

Yes it was an unlocked phone and not a problem at all. I just deleted that SIM Profile Originally it was a verizone phone, i deleted verizone sim profile then this 50.0.1 was a sort of dummy profile and after back to india i added my operator's ESIM then that 50.0.1 was gone.

If you don't know what carrier the phone is locked to, ask whoever you got the phone from.

TLDR for my same problem -> I had to return the iphone and demand for a full refund.

I went to an apple store and purchased then, never buying these things online.

51.0.1 (not 50.0.1) is a test network.

Check with whomever you purchased the iPhone from. They should know.

But on trying to add an eSim, it says that the mobile network might be locked on to a carrier, and that I need to contact the "provider" (which I dont know) to unlock it.

Have you tried going to a carrier to figure out if they supported it? If so have you asked if they could unlock it?

I bought it in Dubai and intend to use it in India. If someone kniws pleelet me know if it's unlocked or a locked phone?
