Hi I’m having a similar issue and hoping you can help I bought a used iPhone 14 with an eSim that is showing as Sim locked with no mention of a carrier and it says 55.0 where the carrier should be. I am super confused and have called multiple carriers trying to get it unlocked with no help.
But on trying to add an eSim, it says that the mobile network might be locked on to a carrier, and that I need to contact the "provider" (which I dont know) to unlock it.
How can I contact smart 50.0.1
Go to Settings/General/About. Look under SIM or eSIM. If there is no network under either one then your phone is not registered with a carrier.
51.0.1 (not 50.0.1) is a test network.
Check with whomever you purchased the iPhone from. They should know.
TLDR for my same problem -> I had to return the iphone and demand for a full refund.
I went to an apple store and purchased then, never buying these things online.
Have you tried going to a carrier to figure out if they supported it? If so have you asked if they could unlock it?
It is an unlocked phone; note that it says “No SIM Restrictions”.

yea mine was unlocked too. but the incompetent carrier couldn't get their esim to work on my phone. I switched carrier and that settled it. thanks anyway!
